like to tell you about anne and myself and our hard lives you see anne and I got sick in a very early stage of life and were not able to earn our home so we have rented nearly all our lives and endured such hardship due to nearly 50 of our sickness pension going on rent anne and I met in our early 20 s we were young and full of life at fist we liked each other from the moment we meet as time we on and the more we saw each other love started to grow before to long we were seeing each other every day and our love for one and other grow and it was strong caring and with compassion for each other a true love and still just as strong some 30 odd years later months have now gone by and we decided it was time for us to move into a rental property and start saving for a home as most young couple s do it was about 4 months after we moved into a unit that I became extremely sick I could not stand or walk my whole body was bloated and extremely swollen I could not even put on a pair of shoes I went from doctor to doctor to try and find out what was wrong the doctors just did not know I finally found one doctor that would do all the testes need to find out the problem after exhaustive test for weeks I was diagnosed with one on the most extreme case of fibromyalgia along with liver and kidney problems the doctor told me I may never be able to go back to work sadly this was the case when I heard this news I asked anne to leave me as I did not want her to suffer a begged her to leave me but anne loved me very much even though I felt I had just been given a death sentence I felt lucky to have such a caring wonderful lady by my side anne looks for a new job so so could care for me and spend more time with me she had found a part time assistant position in market square shopping centre it gave anne enough work to keep the bills payed and for her to look after me it was very bad in the first few years the pain was beyond belief but I managed with anne s love nearly 2 years had gone by I was extremely depressed as I felt I should be looking after anne s wellbeing it was my responsibility to care for anne not her care for me one afternoon I got a call from anne work they told me she had fallen of a ladder and has been taken to hospital anne was putting away documents in a high place and had slipped from a ladder anne had damaged to of her discs in her spine now we were both at home both sick and injured helping each other and doing all we could for the other to make life a bearable as possible once again months had gone by and anne was felling a little better enough to go back to work on light duties but anne was refusing to go back and no one knew why work care eventually spent anne to a physiatrists to help her get back to work many weeks went by and there was no progress on anne s wellbeing the sessions went on with the physiatrist until one day she broke down in a huge mess of tears and it was revealed then that she was being sexually assaulted and work placed bullied this had been happening for nearly 2 years I just got in the car and was on my way to anne s work to see this man the physiatrist knew what was going to happen and called the police whom were at anne s place of employment in hindsight I was lucky as the police officer had told me I could not help anne if I was in jail the man was sacked and no charges were ever laid as his brother was high up in the police department in melbourne we are now in our mid 50 s we have struggled through life and supported each other as any loving couple would we are both still very sick to this day we both live on a disability pension to this day and a very small workcover allowance monthly not even enough to save up for a holiday over half our monthly income goes in rent the other half goes on utilises and food we eat very poorly most nights just a sandwich and we may have a cooked meal once a fortnight if lucky but we love and care for each other that s what counts recently my father had passed away and left us with a small inheritance not enough to buy a block of land and build a humble home to live out our last 30 years or so of life we would like to move to qld where the weather is better for my body we have enough to build the home but not to buy the block of land the blocks where we would like to live are selling for 660 000 to 690000 then the is the government charges which in total work out to be just under 720 000 which is the money we are to raise o gofundme this will in turn change our lives so much no more rent and we could have better food and maybe one day have a holiday we don t have any children anne and I have decided to give the entire home back to charity when we pass away so will ensure you kindness is spread around
